Sermorelin
GHRH (1-29) Analogue
Synthetic 29-amino-acid peptide corresponding to the active N-terminus of growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH). Binds pituitary GHRH receptors to stimulate endogenous, feedback-regulated GH secretion.
Mechanism of Action
Sermorelin reproduces the first 29 residues of GHRH, the minimal sequence for full receptor activity. It engages pituitary GHRH receptors to drive pulsatile GH release that remains under normal somatostatin feedback, distinguishing it from exogenous recombinant GH.
