Tesamorelin
Stabilised GHRH Analogue
Synthetic 44-amino-acid GHRH analogue bearing an N-terminal hexenoyl group that resists enzymatic degradation. Stimulates endogenous GH secretion, with research focused on visceral adipose reduction.
Mechanism of Action
Tesamorelin is a stabilised analogue of human GHRH(1-44). The N-terminal hexenoyl modification slows proteolysis, prolonging GHRH-receptor engagement on pituitary somatotrophs and raising pulsatile GH and downstream IGF-1. Research has focused on reduction of visceral adipose tissue.
