KPV
Alpha-MSH C-Terminal Tripeptide
C-terminal tripeptide of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (Lys-Pro-Val). Carries the anti-inflammatory activity of alpha-MSH without pigmentary effects in research models.
Mechanism of Action
KPV is the C-terminal tripeptide (Lys-Pro-Val) of alpha-MSH. It inhibits NF-kB and MAPK inflammatory signalling and is taken up by the PepT1 transporter in enterocytes, reducing pro-inflammatory cytokine output in research models, without melanocortin-receptor pigmentary effects.
