TB-500
Thymosin Beta-4 (TB-500)
43-amino-acid actin-sequestering peptide. Neurorestorative and angiogenic properties across TBI and musculoskeletal models.
Mechanism of Action
TB-500 sequesters G-actin via its LKKTET motif, promoting cell migration and proliferation. Neurorestorative activity operates via neurogenesis and synaptogenesis amplification post-TBI. Angiogenic mechanism: promotes new vessel formation, improving tissue oxygenation in ischaemic injury models.
