Information we may collect

Depending on the features you use, the categories may include:

  • Details you submit, such as name, email address, institution, inquiry and correspondence.
  • Account, order, eligibility, billing, delivery or transaction details when relevant to a requested service.
  • Technical and usage information, such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP, browser/device details, pages viewed, referral source, session or cookie identifiers and site interaction data.
  • Information supplied through Google sign-in or reader-access features if you elect to use them.

Please avoid submitting sensitive health or other unnecessary personal information through ordinary website inquiry channels.

Purposes and legal grounds

We may use this information to operate and protect the site, answer inquiries, handle legitimate orders and eligibility checks, administer accounts, measure readership and site performance, provide reader-access features, prevent abuse and comply with legal obligations. Depending on the applicable jurisdiction and processing activity, the legal basis may include a requested service or contract, legitimate operational interests, legal obligations, or consent where required.

Google analytics, tags and reader features

Our WordPress installation has Google Site Kit integrations configured for Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Sign in with Google and Reader Revenue Manager. Depending on configuration and your interactions, these services can receive technical, event, account or engagement information, including through cookies or other identifiers. Google Search Console is also connected for site performance measurement. Individual Google services are governed by Google’s applicable terms and privacy notices.

For information about Google’s practices, see Google’s Privacy Policy.

Cookies, measurement and your choices

Cookies and similar technologies may be used for necessary site functions, security, analytics and reader/account features. You can manage or block cookies through your browser settings, although certain features may not work as intended. Where applicable law requires consent for non-essential cookies or tracking, the relevant technologies and consent arrangements must comply with that law. The presence of this policy alone is not a substitute for any required consent mechanism.

Sharing and service providers

Information may be shared as reasonably needed with providers of website hosting, security, analytics, authentication, reader-access tools, communications, payments and shipping, or with authorities where legally required. Providers may process data in other countries. Mindtek’s existing legal privacy notice states that personal data is not sold to third parties; this policy does not authorize any sale of personal data.

Retention and security

We retain data for periods appropriate to the relevant purpose, such as inquiry handling, account services, transaction records, regulatory obligations, security and dispute resolution, and remove or anonymize it when no longer needed where practicable and legally permitted. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, but no digital system is absolutely secure.

International processing

Mindtek serves visitors across multiple jurisdictions. Service providers and processing systems may operate outside your country. Any applicable international-transfer safeguards and local legal requirements continue to apply.

Privacy rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability or withdrawal of consent. To exercise a right or raise a privacy concern, contact us through our contact page. Some information may need to be retained for lawful or legitimate purposes.

Children

Mindtek Research is intended for research professionals and adult readers and is not directed to children. We do not intentionally request personal data from children through our research inquiry channels.

Changes to this notice

We may revise this policy to reflect changes in our website, service providers or legal obligations. Material updates will be dated here and may be communicated through additional means where required.
